Breathwork - On Land & Warm Water

Why Choose Breathwork?

If you’re longing to have access to tools you can use any time to calm stress, anxiety, overwhelm, anger and frustration Breathwork is for you!  The breath can help to quieten a busy mind, reduce stress naturally, reconnect with inner peace, and access your own inner wisdom. Breathwork offers a powerful and natural pathway. The answers you seek already live within you — held in your body. Conscious connected breathing gently opens the door to explore them.

As life unfolds through its many experiences — from birth, family relationships, friendships, school, trauma, grief, bullying, fear, stress, or moments of joy — the body records everything. Each experience leaves an imprint within our nervous system. When emotions are not fully processed and are instead suppressed or numbed, they can become stored within the body.

Over time these unprocessed emotions build up. What may once have helped us cope — alcohol, television, work, social media scrolling, overeating, or other distractions — may no longer feel like enough. Many people find themselves searching for relief and ways to calm, while the mind and body grow increasingly overwhelmed and exhausted from holding both past experiences and future worries.

When this happens, the nervous system can become stuck in a fight, flight, or freeze response. Slow, intentional breathing helps regulate the nervous system by stimulating the vagus nerve, gently guiding the body out of stress mode and back into a state of balance, safety, and calm.

Breathwork invites you to be brave — to soften, listen, and open to what may be held beneath the surface. In a safe and supportive space, you are able to reconnect with yourself, release what no longer serves you, and return home to your body.

The body holds the memories the mind has forgotten. Every trauma, feeling, emotion storing itself inside you. As we connect with the breath, we connect with these old parts of us stored away. Remembering these parts can open up what we don't always understand, those triggers, that frustration, that anger, those feelings that cut deeper than the current situation or experience should provoke. Those emotions coming up when you are triggered, are running deep because it is not just the emotions of the present time. Its all of the emotions over time building up. So when your nervous system is telling you "I can't take any more" Its true, it can't. And that is where breathwork can assist you.

Louisa has trained with the AIR School of Breathwork, working with a gentle conscious connected breathing technique. This style of breathwork can allow individuals to access early life experiences, including memories connected to birth, which for some may be where certain beliefs about themselves first formed. By deepening into the breath, people may experience profound insights, emotional release, and a sense of renewal.

Sessions with Louisa are offered either on land or in warm water.

What is different about land and warm water?

On land during the warmer months we breathe in the bell tent. Although there is room for 10 people I hold my 1-2-1 sessions in here also.

The connection to the nature around us brings a natural calming rhythm that really supports us on this journey.

We start the session discussing your current situation, your struggles and what you really need to help life become easier. Once we have a better understanding of where you are mentally and physically, I invite you to get comfortable on one of our air beds. Pillows, blankets and heating are all available.

I then take you through a beautiful relaxation, connecting you to the space around us, connecting you to your breath and to  your body. Staying with the conscious connected breath we work into the body to explore what you need. I am observing your natural breath, breathing with you and encouraging you to take this deeper and slower. We then go on a further 30 minute journey exploring, feeling, listening, receiving, processing, releasing. If you are comfortable with touch I may help you to feel into parts of the back, shoulders, neck etc. I trained as a massage therapist 30 years ago, so I am intuitively led to feel those parts of you that look stuck, tight or need some support.

The final part of the session is offered as time for you to rest, reflect, feel into the peace, the bliss and the surroundings. It really is a beautiful experience. To complete the session we take some time to discuss your journey, your understandings, your body sensations and whatever may have come up for you.

In the warm water, it is a slightly different experience. The water is set at body temperature. It is very comfortable to for a breathwork session. The hot tub is shallow enough that you can sit in the water with your shoulders and head above the water.

As I connect you in with the body and breath, as I would on land, you then settle your head and neck on my arm or shoulder - whatever feels most comfortable for you. As you feel into the breath you will begin to float.

I support you as you float and I connect my breath with yours. I lead you in the breath until your ears submerge slightly under the water. Now the journey is connecting you with the water, our breath merging as one, the skin to skin contact of my arm holding you - this can feel very nurturing, and my heartbeat close to your ear can connect you to the rhythm and feeling of the womb. The water creates this beautiful experience and safety, but the human presence creates emotional remembering, emotional connection and a place for exploration.

To be held while moving through the breath can be deeply regulating. It reminds the body that it does not have to navigate discomfort, emotion, or release alone.

Often, what is carried in the body begins to surface. Tension, fatigue, unspoken pain.

And in this space, there is permission for it to be acknowledged.

Not fixed. Not forced away. Simply felt, witnessed, and allowed to move.

This is what makes the experience so beautiful.

It is not only the technique of breathwork, nor only the warmth of the water.

It is the combination of environment, presence, and deep attunement that creates the conditions for real restoration.

A remembering that safety, support, and connection are available — and that healing begins there.

I would love to support  you, lets talk about what you feel you need guidance with.

Rates start at £50 for a 90 minute 1-1 session on land

Testimonial

“During a exploration call, I had a heartfelt conversation with Louisa, who kindly took the time to listen and offer support on a subject we both felt strongly about. She helped me view the situation from an entirely new perspective — encouraging me to stop trying to simply “get through it,” and instead slow down, release the pressure, and allow myself to just be.

Following this conversation, I was fortunate to be invited to her breathwork course. After just three sessions, I feel lighter, clearer, and better equipped with a new approach to managing challenging situations. Remarkably, after only one session there was a noticeable shift in my demeanour, something Louisa also observed.

I am incredibly grateful to her for introducing me to this safe and supportive space, and I would wholeheartedly recommend this to anyone seeking a different way to create calm and reconnect with themselves in their lives.” Client

“I began seeing Louisa to help me deal with a trauma which I have been carrying a long time. There was an anger which I couldn’t release but needed to for my own mental wellbeing. The location is idyllic. It radiates calm from the minute you step in. Louisa has created a safe space where you can talk through those overwhelming emotions and has provided me with new techniques to enable me to let go and be more accepting. Louisa is an active listener, empathetic and compassionate. She has provided me with a way to still the thoughts and to find a place to go inside myself to remind me of who I am and that I matter to Me. I look forward to continuing my journey with her guidance. Highly recommended.”  Client
